Solar Water Splitting

A fundamental solution to global warming and energy depletion is to replace the fossil fuels with renewable carbon-free energy sources.

Solar water splitting is a promising approach to obtain the sustainable green hydrogen energy with photoelectrochemical materials, which use light energy to directly dissociate water into hydrogen and oxygen. We are working with the goal of high efficiency, low cost, and long-term stability using various strategies like synthesis, nanostructure control, etc.
